E Construction's Peace River Division, which includes the Edmonton and Slave Lake offices, services a huge area of rural Northwestern Alberta ranging from the border of British Columbia in the west to Lac La Biche in the east, from Drayton Valley in the south into the southern part of the Northwest Territories to the north.
We also tackle special projects further afield when it is a job that suits our unique capabilities such as the Pincher Creek Airport in the far south of Fort Chipewyan paving in the northeast.
In the Peace region, we are also known as Ruel Bros. Contracting. Our roots date back to 1976 where Dennis and Jerry Ruel started the company that is now a Division of E Construction.
Our Slave Lake branch has been in operation since 1989, negotiating and competitively bidding work in Swan Hills, Westlock, Smoky Lake, Lac La Biche, Wabasca, Red Earth and back to Slave Lake. We have a number of crews that complete projects from asphalt maintenance, driveways and parking lots to subdivisions and highways.
The Edmonton branch of the West Division opened in 2003 and although it does not complete projects within Edmonton, it focuses on the communities surrounding the city. These include Vegreville, Drayton Valley, Barrhead, Strathcona County, Brazeau County, and Wabamun. This area also overlaps into the Whitecourt area and completes projects in Whitecourt, Edson, and Hinton. Two base crews and a single paving crew service this area, while three portable asphalt plants supply most of the asphalt.
Taking part in community initiatives is very important to us and we strive to utilize local service suppliers and businesses whenever possible to support our clients within our vast region. Specifically, much of our concrete work, underground installations, line painting, signage and landscaping projects are sub-contracted or purchased locally.
